Account Deletion Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

You can delete your DoGood account at any time, directly inside the app. This policy explains what happens when you delete your account.

How to Delete Your Account

Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the prompts. You will be asked to confirm your intent and acknowledge the consequences before deletion proceeds.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize:

  • Your user account and profile data.
  • Your posts and user-generated content.
  • Your uploaded videos.
  • Your comments.
  • Your likes and reactions.
  • Your followers and following relationships.
  • Your blocks and reports.
  • Your chat messages (where legally possible).
  • Your personal data not legally required to be retained.

What May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained where legally required, including:

  • Financial transaction records (for tax, accounting, and legal compliance).
  • Moderation and safety records (to protect users and comply with law).
  • An audit record of the deletion itself (minimum information to demonstrate compliance).

Before You Delete

Before deletion, you must resolve outstanding financial activity:

  • Withdraw any wallet balance.
  • Resolve pending payout requests.
  • Fulfill or cancel active marketplace orders as a seller.

If any of these are outstanding, deletion will be blocked until they are resolved.

Sessions & Tokens

Deleting your account revokes your active sessions and authentication tokens, and removes connected services.

Irreversibility

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want to take a break, consider logging out instead — you can always come back.
