This policy explains how DoGood moderates user-generated content, how reports are handled, and how you can appeal moderation decisions.
Every piece of user-generated content — posts, videos, comments, and profiles — has a Report button. When you report content, it enters our moderation queue with a status of "pending." Reports are anonymous to the reported user.
You can report content for the following reasons:
Each report moves through the following statuses:
Where technically feasible, user-generated content is screened by automated systems before publishing. High-confidence violations are blocked automatically. Medium-confidence flags are sent to human moderation. Low-confidence content is allowed but remains reportable. Automated actions are logged and never permanently delete borderline content based solely on uncertain classification.
Depending on severity and history, we may:
Reports involving child sexual exploitation, credible physical threats, terrorism/extremism, or serious violence are escalated immediately. Such reports may be reported to the appropriate legal authorities.
If your content was removed or your account was restricted, you can appeal the decision. Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator than the one who made the original decision. To appeal, contact us at moderation@dogood.app with the report ID and your explanation.
Every moderation action records the moderator ID, timestamp, reason, and decision. These records are retained for audit purposes and are not visible to ordinary users.
